For those of you that have been our guests since the early aughts, you will remember our co-founder and manager extraordinaire - Marilyn Bunge. As her neice Lynn and then her granddaughter Alison took over management throughout the years, Marilyn was always connected to the Cottage House and wanted to know how our guests were doing. Her children are still our owners, now in our 33rd year of service to Lanesboro visitors. She remembered you all up until the very end as her mind stayed sharp. You can read her obituary here. We will continue to carry on her legacy of spotless cleaning, warm hospitality, remarkable kindness, and humble generosity. And if we dare, we will try to replicate her made-from-scratch pie crusts, rhubarb punch, pickled beets, and angel food cake. Her work in hospitality and service to our corner of the world lives on, and you will experience it the minute you drive into town and walk through our doors.
